Dictators
[edit]Why are the two pictures of suits at the top of this article both pictures of autocratic tyrants? Erdogan and Modi are both highly controversial demagogues. Putin is a secret policeman with a reputation for bumping-off adversaries in foreign countries.
You don't have to be a dictator to wear a business suit; I have one in my wardrobe. I propose to delete these pictures, which are not anything to do with business suits, and are rather about the people the suits contain. I'm going to do this tomorrow, unless someone shouts. Information needs adding to the 'Shirts with suits' sub-title in the article
[edit]In my opinion, information needs adding to the 'Shirts with suits' sub-title in the article as the only thing under the sub-title is a link, whereas the other sub-titles have both information and links on them. I feel that adding information to said sub-title may help to maintain the consistency of the article. Xboxsponge15 (talk) 14:02, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

Can we clarify the "informal wear" designation in the lead?
[edit]I understand that there's a codified system of Western dress norms, under which a suit is called "informal wear," but in everyday language a suit definitely falls under "formal" clothing. Can we clarify this without removing the reference to traditional Western dress codes? AdamPronouncedAdam (talk) 19:13, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
